The mods

We saw a couple of absolutely awesome cases this time around.

This machine was knocked up by our old buddy from Aqua Computers. We featured his awesome case in our last i-Series coverage, and since then he's been busy on a new model. This version uses an unreleased (as yet) case from Lian-Li, as well as plenty of Aqua-Computer watercooling kit. The awesome laser etching was done using his own workshop machine. A pretty impressive job we think!

Opening up the side of the case reveals the almost-even-more-impressive interior. Watercooling kit abounds, with even the SLI setup cooled. Better than that, the voltage regs on the motherboard also get the WC treatment - making for some pretty awesome overclocking! Some Corsair Xpert RAM with LED readouts finishes an sweet job.

More mods

We were also blown away by this case dedicated to Guild Wars: Factions. The modder is a dedicated Guild Wars player and this case took him one month of solid work to finish. Amazingly, it started life as an old Pentium 2 server case before being gutted, painted, airbrushed and modded to the point that its origins are unrecognisable!

There is some fantastic detailing in the case, including home-made acrylic etches and some gorgeous hand airbrushing. We're going to be bringing you the full write-up on this case, so stay tuned!
